studio.williAmson is a design-led chartered Architect's practice based in central Exeter and operating throughout the surrounding Districts and wider South-West providing architectural services from inception to completion tailored primarily to a client base comprising private individuals and small residential developers. A combination of design ingenuity, technical competence, rigorous attention to detail and diligent construction contact administration is delivered with consummate professionalism in a friendly and efficient manner.

Across more than 25 years of local practise Tim Williamson RIBA has established a reputation for employing creative design strategies to unlock the full potential of sites and buildings, especially where the setting is historically or environmentally sensitive. Imaginative yet pragmatic solutions are sought which simultaneously belong to both their place and time and responsively interpret each client's needs and aspirations. As a result, each project is an individual journey with a unique destination shaped by the specific client brief and the particular location and its wider context.

Care and enjoyment are taken in the selection, combination and crafting of materials; the handling of natural light; legibility of structure, construction and history; the blurring of boundaries between 'inside' and 'outside'; and the juxtaposition of 'tradition' and 'modernity' to the mutual enrichment of both. Together, these considerations fundamentally inform the spatial experience of inhabitation.
